Anecdote from Tbilisi
Pewnego razu mieszkaniec Tbilisi udał się wczesnym rankiem samochodem do pracy. W centrum miasta chce zaparkować samochód, ale ma problem ze znalezieniem wolnego miejsca. Zdenerwowany zaczyna modlić się do Boga: "Boże, pomóż mi zaparkować, a ja w dowód swojej wdzięczności będę żałować za swoje grzechy, pomagać biednym w potrzebie, czynić dobre uczynki... Tylko pomóż mi zaparkować samochód!!!" Nie dokończywszy modlitwy, widzi nagle, że przed nim zwalnia się jedno miejsce. Ucieszony zwraca się ponownie do Boga: Boże, już więcej nie trzeba mi twojej pomocy, włśnie zwolniło się miejsce.
Tbilisi is first of all well-known city becouse of the location and the history. Located in the river valley Mtkvari is surrounded with smole hills. The first written reference to Tbilisi dates from the 4th century, when an annalist described it as a frotress town and became the capital of Georgia in the year 458. Tbilisi is on the another hand the economical, transit, historical and culutral centre of Gergia. The city is the conection between the old architecture with many churches and monasteries from VI c. and new buildings, trade and shopping centres located on the main streets Chavchavadze and Rustaveli with galeries and theatres (the Rustaveli and the Mardzhanishvili Drama Theatre). - numerous churches and monasteries,
The old town in Tbilisi is distinguished from the rest od the city by the wooden architecture and charming streets with cafes and restaurants open the whole night. From the old town goes the road up the hill where is located the fortress Narikhala. From the top you have a very nice view on the old town and the whole city. In the back side of the fortress there is a botanic garden.
The city is teeming with economical live on the numerous bazaars where the majoroty of residents bay basic products like food furniture and many others. The prices of all products are lower than in tipical shopping centers and the quality very good. Besides you can also negotiate the price with the sellers.
The main atractions of the city:

- termal baths,
- trade bazaars,
- bird watching in the surrounding mountains.
